The Elitonia Experience – The Cotswolds Launch

Reading Time: 3 minutes

It’s less than a week to go before Elitonia Ltd launches its new face of Cotswold floristry at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester, and just as importantly, my first official blogging event!

To say I’m a little nervous is an understatement! The event is going to be packed full of leading businessmen and women in the Cotswolds, key Cotswold residents and fellow bloggers.

I won’t know anyone, and I’ve desperately been trying to lose weight so that I don’t feel self conscious in a pretty dress!

Ah the dress! Insert Wardrobe Crisis here!!

I thought I had an absolutely perfect number that I bought a couple of years ago for a friends hen party, it’s autumnal colours, it’s floral, perfect for a florist launch.

However, when I put it on, the stone I’ve gained since I last wore it are immediately obvious, as I look like a stuffed sausage in a floral evening dress.

Since then the dress remains discarded in a crumpled heap in the corner of the room, where it belongs, for not “growing” with me.

As a result, I’ve been left frantically searching everywhere for a dress that meets my demanding/fussy requirements.

Whilst I’m sure that Elitonia Ltd is busy preparing for this extravagant event themselves, I’m finding my dress search is equally as frantic.

I’m on the internet at any given moment scouring various websites for a unique dress that I can confidently wear.

I found a very Carrie Bradshaw pink floaty piece that could be worn with a black blazer and kitten heels and I’d be killing it, did they have it in my size?

Of course they didn’t! They did have the black though, so plan two, was to find a snazzy floral blazer – these were all the rage last year but my high expectations of finding the perfect one are quickly dashed.

Then, just when I think I could wear it with something else, the incredible sale it was in (£55 down from £190) my size had sold out.

Then there is the Christopher Kane I found, it’s dark and light green floral pattern on a floaty dark silk base.

It is absolutely gorgeous at an event such as this, an irresistible bargain, knocked down from £1127 to £304 is a little over my budget…!

Back to the drawing board!

This weekend I’ll be dragging Jon around the outlet centre in Swindon, possibly Gloucester Quays for a change of scenery.

I will no doubt at some point, end up in tears in a changing room somewhere, upset at myself for spending the last year scoffing cake like it was going out of fashion.

Elitonia

I’m incredibly honoured to be able to attend the event, and I’m really looking forward to meeting lots of people and some of my fellow Cotswold Bloggers.

It is also an opportunity to see some of the fantastic work that Elitonia does, in the flesh, or should I say, in the flower?!

Elitonia Fashion

Elitonia Ltd recently provided floral decorations for the glittering F1 Grand Prix Ball celebrations in London.

Elitonia has been highlighted in 2017 in the pages of Cotswold Life and Business & Innovation Magazine.

Toni Ryder Managing Director says

“Elitonia is a company that goes beyond the norm when it comes to floristry – the only limit to the type of floral creations that can be provided is your own imagination.”

“Whether you need to create the perfect ambience for your event, photo shoot, or wedding, or you need the perfect design to show off your beautiful hotel, home, yacht, Elitonia will be there for you.

We also work very closely with brand and PR agencies so that when you need creative backdrops for new catalogue photos, web photos, branding, etc, we are on hand to provide that perfect creation.

Elitonia’s clients have come to expect and rely on our expert knowledge and experience.

The entire team has been built with this in mind and we work together to ensure that every aspect of your requirements are delivered to exacting standards.”

As someone with a new sense of what fresh flowers can bring to a room, I’m really excited to see Elitonia’s work in practice at the event.

I’ll be reporting back after the event – hopefully with some pictures of me in my new dress that covers my wobbly bits as well as some photographs of the fun and elegance the night will bring.

There are still some spaces left at the event, which is on Thursday 12 October, 7-10pm at Corinium Museum, Cirencester and can be booked online.

If you’re there, why not come up and say hello, I’ll be the nervous looking one in a dress I’d probably forget to take the tags off of!

Peace out!
