A couple of years ago I attempted to Cook the F1. It was an exciting challenge, thought up by the other half one day, and one I took on with the hope of cooking a regional dish for every Formula 1 race as the competition travelled around the globe.
As it happened, time or life got in the way and I didn’t succeed in my challenge, but did manage to post a summer break update.
I’d really like to have another crack at it and with the F1 season about to start, there is no better time to plan!
Aim of Cook the F1
The aim of Cook the F1 is to produce a regional dish of the host country, for each of the Formula 1 2020 season races.
As I work Sunday’s most of my dishes will be qualifying day dishes to give me enough time to cook them. Despite being qualifying dishes I’m hoping they make poll position!
I’m going to also put a little more planning into it this year and decide ahead of time what I will be cooking, rather than waiting until the weekend of.
This gives me the opportunity to get ingredients in advance and make sure I’m ready come race weekend.

Non-completion
If for some reason I am unable to complete a race day challenge, I will make arrangements to carry out the challenge on another date.
By the end of the challenge – I hope to have completed 22 different country dishes!
Want to join in?
Why not take part yourselves and use the hashtag #CooktheF1 so I can share your meals too!
It is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the different food eaten in different countries as well as challenge yourself to try something new!
Have you been to any of the countries and can recommend a dish for me to try?
Peace out!
