I was very kindly sent a blind from Blinds by Post to review. All opinions are my own.
I’ve previously talked about having blinds in an effort to keep the heat in during the winter months without cranking up the heating. When Blinds by Post reached out, it was a great opportunity for me to seek out a stylish made-to-measure blind that would keep the draughts at bay but also look nice in my lounge.
Blinds by Post says what it does on the tin. They have a huge range of blinds from vertical, roller to roman blinds and a massive choice of styles and fabrics.
Picking the blind style
This obviously depends a lot on your personal style but what will also suit the windows you have.
I currently have roller blinds but love Roman blinds which I feel add a little bit of luxury to a window dressing.
Blinds by Post has a huge range of fabrics to choose from and I spent quite some time picking what I wanted. You can of course opt for up to 8 free samples which will help you make your final decision based on your decor. I chose the Peyton Berry.
I also opted for Blackout blind – whilst I don’t necessarily need it as I have no streetlights, I am woken by keen pets in the summer months! There is also a choice of chain colour, which of course meet with all required safety standards.

Measuring up for the blind
This was where I was initially a little worried. But, Blinds by Post offer a whole host of useful video guides explaining how to measure your windows. They explain the difference between exact measurements for inside the window recess or outside the recess.
Having measured up my windows and picked my fabric, I submitted my order to the team.
Blinds by Post delivery
On quite a few of their range of blinds, Blinds by Post offers same day dispatch and free delivery for orders over £145. You can also opt to pay for your order in 3 using Klarna.
As this was a gifted product, I am unable to comment on the ordering process. However, the blind I chose was delivered within a few days of me submitting the order. It arrived well packaged and with all the instructions required to install.
Installing the blind
After pinching a drill from Jon, I was able to follow the very helpful instructions included with the blind to install. You will need a tape measure and drill to install the blind and any associated wall plugs. Helpfully, I have wooden batons installed already for blinds so this was no issue.
Again, Blinds by Post has a series of helpful “how-to” video guides on installing the different blinds, again accommodating for whether you’re blind is for inside the recess or outside the recess.
Within 10 minutes the old roller blind had been removed and the new blind installed. It was a much smoother process than I had imagined, and had resulted in no temper tantrums as DIY projects often do for me!

Overall conclusion
The quality of this blind is great, the finish is nice, and what I’d expect from a blind which would usually cost around £130.
The range and choices available caters to all styles and budgets. Of course, the price alters depending on the size required for your windows and your fabric choice. I’m lucky that all of my windows are the same size!
The video guides were a huge bonus, particularly as I’ve never installed a Roman blind before. The last time I’d decided to take down a Roman blind I realised it had been stuck on using velcro and I got quite tangled up!
You also get a 3 year warranty on your product.
Overall, I was very pleased with this product, it’s something I’d look to buy for other windows and would happily recommend to friends seeking to upgrade their window dressings.
Peace out!
